Woburn, England: Details of a theft of antique silver from the Duke of Bedford's residence at Woburn Abbey. Thieves disarmed sophisticated security systems; $150,000 reward offered. Paris, France: Louis XV Chinese porcelain clock from the Louvre. Basel, Switzerland: Gothic art, including late Gothic silver pendant, from Basel Historical Museum. Santa Fé, Argentina: Major theft at Museo Municipal Estevez, including Goya, Portrait of Maria Teresa de Apodaca de Sesma. Sebastopol, California: Several hundred dolls from a collection in a home. Brooklandville, Maryland: 18th- and 19th-century silver from a collector’s home. Norfolk, Virginia: African Dan mask stolen from Chrysler Museum.

Owner Sought
Silver and jewelry seized in July 1983 by FBI in New York; Rauschenberg, painting from Tampa Drawings series, 1974, seized in Stockholm.

Recovery: Milan
Guercino painting, Madonna and Child Enthroned with Saints, stolen in 1979, recovered outside Milan.
