The Museum of the University of Pennsylvania closed some galleries to upgrade security after three thefts; Brookgreen Gardens at Murrells Inlet, South Carolina lost three statues; and a bronze medallion was stolen from the base of the Thorvaldsen Monument in Central Park, New York
