Guideline Summary

The AAM collaborated with key discipline-specific organizations to identify individuals to represent a variety of perspectives on the Direct Care Task Force. This white paper examines the phrase “direct care of collections” as used in the AAM Code of Ethics regarding the sale of items deaccessioned form a museum’s permanent collection.
