The FBI's Art Crime Team

Because of our work in art fraud and theft, IFAR has had a longstanding relationship with the FBI. During this special IFAR Evening on November 9, members of the FBI’s Art Crime Team, including Randolph J. Deaton IV, the Team’s new head as of August 2021, Special Agents Christopher McKeogh and Jake Archer, and Assistant U.S. Attorney K.T. Newton, introduced IFAR’s audience to the workings of the Team, and discussed some art fraud and theft cases. Q&A followed the talks.

This program followed several IFAR Evenings about the FBI, including “The New FBI Art Crime Team,” June 8, 2005 and “The FBI’s Role in Art Fraud and Theft,” November 14, 2000.

This program was organized as a Zoom webinar.
