IFAR Journal Wins Another Award
It is with great pride that we announce that the IFAR Journal , IFAR's signature publication, has won First Prize again in its category (Scholarly Journals, smaller institutions) in the 2010 publications contest sponsored by the American Association of Museums. The Journal will be displayed with other contest winners at the AAM's annual meeting in Los Angeles, May 23 - 27, 2010, and featured in the July-August 2010 issue of Museum magazine.
This is the fifth award that the IFAR Journal has won in this prestigious annual publications contest and the third time it has won First Prize. Kudos and thanks to our design and production team: Designer: Ana Lucia Rosales-Boujnah; Editor-in-Chief: Dr. Sharon Flescher; and Editor: Kathleen Ferguson. A sincere and heartfelt "thank-you" also to the writers, advisors and funders, whose contributions have helped make the Journal a success. In particular we would like to thank the following foundations and agencies for their support of the Journal this year: The National Endowment for the Arts, The Liman Foundation, the Pierre and Tana Matisse Foundation, and the International Music and Art Foundation.
IFAR Journal is an integral part of IFAR's educational mission. The publication goes to subscribers in 19 countries, its articles are frequently cited and reproduced, and they are incorporated into the curricula of numerous universities. The unique Stolen Art Alert, published by IFAR since 1977, is included in each issue of the Journal.
