- The publication includes a catalogue raisonné of the sculptures listed in the posthumous inventory of Degas' studio.
The book features original photographs by Frank Horvat. It also includes reproductions of all photographs taken between December 1917 and March 1918, giving a depiction of the original state of some 53 sculptures.
There is a section on state of the bronzes as well, with the names of purchasers up to 1936, and numerous other documents.
