The drawing, one of the 128 original Dali drawings from Dali’s autobiography, The Secret Life, was stolen in 1983 while on loan for an exhibition at the Salvador Dali Foundation. The drawing resurfaced when a NYC dealer received it on consignment.
Missouri Couple Arrested in Thefts of Garden & Cemetery Sculpture

The New York State Police send the ALR three photos of statues seized from arrested couple. One, a statue of a girl holding birds in her hand, matches a Bessie Potter Vonnoh statue registered in the ALR database. In short, a recovery is made.
