Gribin v. Hammer Galleries, 793 F. Supp. 233 (C.D. Cal. 1992); voluntarily dismissed, sub nom. Brassner v. Gribin, No. 93-cv-02878 (C.D. Cal. 1994). 

Plaintiff Gribin sold a Marie Laurencin painting, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, to Brassner and the Hammer Galleries. When another art expert refused to declare the work authentic, Brassner and Hammer Galleries demanded that Gribin rescind the sale. Instead, Gribin filed suit . . . .
